People
- Clayton H. Kallman, former owner of The Florida
Bookstore, has joined the Wachovia Advisory Board in
Alachua County. Wachovia Bank, N.A., was formed after
First Union Corp. and Wachovia Corp. merged on Sept. 1,
2001.
Kallman, a Gainesville native, holds a bachelor's degree
and a master's in Bio-statistics from The Johns Hopkins
University. He is a former instructor of medicine at Johns
Hopkins University School of Medicine, co-authoring 83
publications before returning to Gainesville in 1984 to
assume ownership of The Florida Bookstore.
Kallman will join Keith Austin, Roland Daniels, Leonard
Ireland, Susan Parrish, Win Phillips, Carol Villemaire
and Sam Goforth on the Wachovia Advisory Board.
